Trackmania Turbo
Trackmania, what great memories brought to life again on the DS in 2009 and in 2010 re-invented once again.
Car racing for the handheld in a fun environment. Actually, since last year it's now car racing for the handheld with three brand new environments as the classic Stadium is joined by Island, Snow and Coast, for a total of four racing spaces.
This enables the developers to produce close to 150 race events and new game modes in the Turbo version.
If the new tracks are not up to your particular preference, there is of course the TrackMania Turbo track editor.
Not only can you make your own tracks, using the DS's Wi-fi connection you can also share these with your friends... and your rivals. Multiplayer mode also returns to the game with Hotseat mode. This lets you and your pals play on a single console, or with the One Card and local Multi-Card modes.
But this isn't called 'Turbo' for nothing, at last the Wi-fi-enabled online mode comes to Trackmania on DS. So, with three solo modes (Race, Platform and Puzzle), four new environments, the track editor, online mulitplayer and the chance to earn in-game coppers for race winning... combined with the ability to use the Rumble-Pack, Trackmania Turbo really is a worthy update.
