To deal with this, EA have taken a rather non-traditional tack for a property like Superman on the DS. Rather than trying to port one of the console versions of the game they've pitted Superman against his rogues gallery in a series of interlocking mini-games. In keeping with the DS's philosophy of accessibility, this makes the title very easy to play in short bursts and keeps the gameplay varied.

Players must complete a variety of tasks such as scanning civilians for alien physiology in order to give them a swift blast of heat vision to the face should they fail the test. Alternatively, try racing to find an empty phone booth for a swift costume change (always embarrassing when you have to do that) or fighting baddies in strangely puzzle-like ways (we won't try to explain that, just take our word for it). Oh, and did we mention the baddies' Well, yes. But we can't help but mention them again. Expect - amongst others - Mongul (yellow-alien-warlord-type); Brainiac (otherworldly super-genius); and of course the nefarious (yes, that's right, nefarious) Lex Luthor to try and give you a headache.
